BLRPRC (2 Days)
This is a two day course designed for the novice marksman, but it is highly encouraged and recommended for those who have had little or no formal training to attend. We promote a friendly and professional environment that puts new shooters at ease. We specialize in making you comfortable while giving you the best learning environment possible. A fast paced course, it will begin with firearms safety and rapidly transition into equipment comprehension, fundamentals of marksmanship, basic ballistics, wind reading, range estimation, mover targets and target engagements to 800 yards. This course will utilize the entire K&M facility, fully taking advantage of the 12 plus ranges on site. Students that complete the course will have a basic proficiency in firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment and systematic training methods for future progression.

• Safety
• Equipment selection and care
• Building your position, basic fundamentals of marksmanship, trigger control, recoil management
• Introduction to wind reading
• Employing the milliradian reticule for range estimation
• Understanding MOA and milliradian adjustments
• Introduction to internal and external ballistics
• Introduction to positional shooting – prone, kneeling, sitting
• Data gathering out to 800 yards
• Engagement of moving targets

Addition Information:
There are good hotels in Crestview FL – they are 30 minutes away from the range (approx 25-30 miles). There is plenty of fast food, restaurants and shopping near the hotels as well. Stock up in town, there are no services near the facility.

Northwest Florida Regional Airport (Ft Walton Beach) - 45 miles
Pensacola International Airport (Pensacola) – 60 miles

I so want to attend this, but it cannot happen for me right now. Depending upon what transpires with my work situation this year, I am hoping for late this year or early next. I know you have no trouble filling these courses, but hope to see you one day soon.

Wait list is full and it is unlikely we can fit anyone in and maintain our student to instructor ratios. We want to keep our training at very high level, which why many of you are supporting us.

The next Basic course is September 13-14. It will be the last one of 2014 and the next one won't be until mid 2015. I will be out of the country for 9 months and classes will be scheduled around the deployment. The Sept course is up on the website and I will post it here soon. If the deployment gets scratched, I will let you know what our fall/winter 2014 schedule looks like. Hope this helps all!

Thanks to all the shooters that attended this weekends Basic Long Range Precision Course. It was great to see some familiar faces and we all made some new friends. Make sure you guys stay in contact with us and continue to train.

You guys battled the heat and some "sporty" restrooms. We appreciate the great attitudes and how safe you all were. You all improved significantly from day 1 to day 2, and that is always rewarding as an instructor.

Special thanks to the K&M PRT instructors (Don Albares, Mike Rogan, and Bryan Richman). You guys make this happen and the students excel under your instruction.

Just a quick note of thanks to Shannon and his team. My son Matthew and I attended K&M in June for his introductory course with our friend Roger. Long range shooting is a new discipline for us and Shannon got us from 0 to 60 in no time at all. By the end of the weekend, we were shooting movers at 800 with relative ease. The facilities are top notch, the Instructors top notch, and the rental gun that my son used was unbelievable. We have been practicing the skills taught and just ordered my son a rifle / scope setup. Buy once, cry once.

Anyone looking for great training should give K&M a try. We will be back next year.
