Comprehensive Precision Rifle Course (4 Days)
The K&M Comprehensive Precision Rifle Course is a four day course that combines our Basic and Advance curriculum into one class. It is a fast paced course that is designed for novice and seasoned shooters alike. The course begins with firearms safety and rapidly transition into equipment comprehension, fundamentals of advanced marksmanship, ballistics, wind reading, range estimation, alternate positions, mover targets and target engagements to 1200 yards. This course will utilize the entire K&M complex, fully taking advantage of the 12 plus ranges on site. Students that complete the course will have a proficiency in firearm safety, firearm handling under stress conditions, advanced marksmanship fundamentals, a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment and systematic training methods for future progression.

Many of K&M's instructors are still on active duty, operating at the tactical level while employing and developing the latest TTPs and best practices. These efforts and experiences are incorporated back into our training programs, allowing us to provide the most relevant training possible.

Addition Information:
Bunkhouse accommodations are included in your course fee! The K&M Shooting Complex has a high-end bunkhouse to host our students. We highly encourage students to stay with us at K&M both for convenience and camaraderie. Students may sleep 1-3 per room depending on course size. Cable TV and a full kitchen are provided for our guests. The bunkhouse is immaculately maintained and highly reviewed by K&M students. If you choose to stay off-site, listed below are recommended hotels in Jackson, TN area - they are a 15-30 minute drive to the K&M Shooting Complex (approx 25-30 miles).

I'm trying to decide between this class and the two day basic class.
I have very little experience with long range shooting and don't want to hold back the class, or get lost trying to comprehend things if I take the four day class. What would you recommend a new to long range shooter take?

I've taken both the 2 day basic and the 4 day comprehensive. Before the 2 day basic, I had only handled shotguns, pistols and a .22 single shot.

The first 2 days of the 4 day comprehensive course covers most of the material from the 2 day basic course so your comfort level there will be about the same no matter which course you take.

The final 2 days for the comprehensive ups the tempo quite a bit and you are doing a lot more shooting/range time where you are applying the skills in a combined format. For example, shooting movers + changing positions + time constraint whereas in the basic course on day 2 you are shooting movers from the prone without any time constraint.

Overall as a newer shooter I didn't feel that I slowed the class down any as all course work is in a structured format where the lessons are clear, the objectives are explained, elements are practiced, and the only real issue will be not getting rounds on target (you won't be alone here).

Skills are introduced and then slowly built upon so its not like you just get dropped onto the range and have to figure it out. I certainly made a lot of mistakes during the process but the instructors were right there the whole time reinforcing what we learned and coaching you through each course/stage.

Overall either class is great, and you will be a lot more aware of what you are doing wrong going forward which is extremely valuable.

I have took the course as a fairly new shooter. It was awesome and I highly reccomend it to everyone. If you stay in the bunkhouse get there early to get a top bunk and bring ear plugs.
