KAC SR25 Receiver blemish

Guys and gals,

I was cleaning my KAC SR 25 ACC upper in my ultrasonic cleaner last week, and noticed some significant discoloration in the finish. I got distracted and left the upper in the bath longer than the directions call. With my system, typically you run the bath for 5 mins or so, but I probably ran it double that....what a mo. Anyway, I emailed KAC and they suggested oiling the spots. I had already been doing that, and am going to continue that for a few more days. I’ve never had any issues with my sonic system before. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Cerakote it taupe. Or sell it to me.

The cleaning solution is ultrasonic cleaning solution. I’m not sure what the active ingredient is, but this was operator error lol. I’ve actually thought about Cerakoting in the past. Might be time lol
