It has been a very interesting year as far as sniper gear being released through DRMO and other outlets; MK13 MOD0 Stocks, Pelican cases for the MK13 MOD 5, etc. I was at my friends warehouse in AZ three weeks ago. He acquired all the MOD13 MOD0 stocks a year ago. Walking through the warehouse, I looked up on one of the storage racks about three levels high, I saw a bunch of boxes marked Kalispel - Double Rifle - GC52144. I asked him, where did you get these? He said they came with the MOD13 stocks. Well, they all came home with me. These were the same cases used for the MK13MOD0, early MOD13MOD5's, M-25's, SSR's and a whole bunch of other rifle platforms. I am still trying to figure out what I will do with these. I will keep at least five or six of these. In the interim enjoy!

I have a Navy SSR clone in process and would be interested in a case as well, assuming availability.

At this point, we must assume that the pictures are photoshopped and are only resident on the hard-drive of a Nigerian warlord who is just biding his time to get up enough interest so that we respond, Pavlovian-style-and-without-thinking to an e-mail spam note that says "Please, I have a Navy Special Warfare Aluminum Case and I will deposit it your hands temporarily while I emigrate from Lagos, if you just send me a small processing fee by sending your credit card number, address, date of birth, ss number, mothers maiden name... and I will only charge...."

Kuparj is a good friend of mine and a fellow collector. He posted those pics with the intention of sharing information, but he never said that he was going to sell them. He did say he might keep at least 5 or 6 cases, but knowing him, this is where he'll end up years from now, not immediate sales.
Some of the comments have been pretty funny, Nigerian warlord, lol. Trust me, kuparj is a real person, not a troll, and he's a great guy. I've done a ton of deals with him and without his assistance and hard work, we wouldn't have the SEAL used Mk13 Mod 0 stocks. I can vouch for him, he's legit and I'm proud to call him a friend.
He hasn't replied to this thread for a few reasons, the first being that he has been busy with work, family and travel this summer/fall. During the summer, he's rarely online, so he doesn't keep up with any of these threads. He also hasn't responded because he doesn't want to sell any of the cases at this time. He's seen how passionate you guys are in regards to these extremely rare cases and I think he's having having a hard time hopping on here and saying "no" to your offers.
He also can't believe the number of "I'll take one" posts followed by PM'S. I know you guys are very proactive buyers (as you should be, it's a very competitive hobby and scarcity fuels these actions), but he was weighing his options and didn't actually say they were for sale. As soon as the first person posts that they'll take one, it becomes a dogpile and people automatically assume that they're for sale. This was definitely backed with inordinate number of PM'S he received.
He was a little surprised by it, since they weren't officially for sale and people just started claiming them. It's more of an interesting observation about the collector community than anything else. He's not irritated or upset over it, he just doesn't really know what to tell you guys, so that's why I'm here trying to clear the air.
He's taken some time to think about how to proceed, especially since he was never committed to selling the cases and demand far exceeds supply. As of right now and into the foreseeable future, he's going to hold onto the cases. If anything changes, either him or I will give an update, but it definitely won't happen anytime soon.
I know this isn't the answer that everyone wants to hear, but this is the honest answer and I wish I could have given an update sooner.
A friend also reached out to the Kalispel tribe and he was told that they aren't going to produce anymore cases. However, Kalispel cases weren't the only aluminum cases used and there is another option available. Most of my used cases were made by ICC, and they still make that exact case! If you need a clone correct case for your build, I highly suggest picking up an ICC case (they're also a lower price than a vintage or used case). Here's a link to the correct case on their site:

That kind of leaves the impression that 'the rest' might be available for sale. And since it was posted here, one might get the impression that at least some might be for sale here. Thus our relentless and fun-loving badgering.
As for the ICC cases... definitely looked at them. But they are not originals. And when trying to put together a very original and historically-accurate Mk13 package... even going so far as to have the original Crane 'smith build 'em. A repro case is not what completes the kit!
But understood that the pallet of cases isn't going to be for sale, at least not here... So I, at least, will start looking at other options or seeking out some other possibilities for cases. And we're still going to keep poking at your Nigerian Warlord friend ;-) As much in jest as anything. Because, well, that's what we do! And maybe we'll get lucky and some of the 5 or 6 cases he isn't keeping will show up somewhere!

I know exactly what you mean about acquiring original parts for these historical builds, repro stuff just doesn't cut it (unless it's an L shaped recoil lug, lol). I'll keep talking to him and see what I can do, but these warlords are tough negotiators!
I went back and looking at the pics of the cases on ICC's website, and it appears that they've changed the label on their cases. I'm not sure if anything else has changed, but I think the sheet metal gauge changed on the Kalispell cases at some point. If anyone does buy the new ICC cases and it has a new label, I can provide pics and dimensions of the old label. That info might be useful in getting some correct labels printed up.
I've got a pile of used cases and the majority of them are ICC cases, so they're still a good option for guys who don't want to spend a ton of time and money trying to find an older Kalispell case.
^^^ So are 'those' used cases for sale? They have the appropriate markings, patina and provenance!
I see several that would be interesting to go with a Mod 0.

Sorry brother, those cases aren't for sale. I only have 14 of them and I'm keeping at least 18 stocks, so I'm actually short a few cases! They are all 100% original Mod 0 cases.
Since I am clearly going to have to reproduce one...
Would you be willing to pick out one of your more interesting cases... and take a bunch of photos so that we can see markings, details, inside layout, etc?

Everything you see in the pics is literally it. 1 or 2 might have something spray painted on top, but most are plain. The interior has nothing in it, I need to order foam from ICC. They just used the basic slabs of foam, no cutouts for anything. It's literally the most plain, unimaginative case you could think of, lol.
Can you give some details of the markings? Sharpie? Paint pens? 100 MPH tape with lettering on it?
If I am going to reproduce one... I'd like to get the details right. I think some others here would also be very interested!

Now that I know it’s a safe environment for a “faux” case.....
Found this on eBay for $100, ICC 5214 with a little wear and tear already. I added the labels and the OD green 100 mph tape. It’s an older model case with what appears to be the correct handles and old style label as well. I couldn’t bring myself to make either the “ST-2” label or rattle can it on the lid however.
The markings and labels I used are a bit of an amalgam of what is seen in USMCSGT0331’s excellent photos.

So there are a handful of cases coming on the market. Real ones, ex 'teams. They are not inexpensive... but IMHO, for those with top builds (ie. Alan Brown guns)... worth every cent. I bought one for mine. Didn't hesitate for a moment.
I told the seller that I would let folks know that there are some original cases available (6, I think) and that folks who are serious can PM me and I'll pass them on the info.
Not trying to be conspiratorial here... and not making anything myself. Just that seller does not want to be inundated with tire kickers.

Finding this thread is ironic in that I generally collect German WW2 rifles but on my bucket list was acquiring a Belgian 50.00 FAL . I accomplished this last month and it came in this case, most likely purchased @ ‘74 as this is a sear cut first 2000 imported rifle. Is this the type case you are all referring to?

Knowing nothing of these cases, to answer my own question, some have a full piano hinge, gasket and locking bar. Another bit of interesting info I never knew. Looks like any of these cases could be modified to accept the military features as they are only built with pop rivets.
I know I'm jumping in on an old Post. I have one of these sought after Kalispel cases. It appears to be an older one with older Co. Logo. I'll try to post a couple of photos if anyone is interested
Definitely sought after, but be careful on this forum. Sales can only be in the PX sales threads and require a paying membership. Don't let that stop you, as I'm sure the profit on a case like that would likely be worth a month of supporting membership. Having said that, more than a few members have shown interest in such a case.
