Keeping brass and bullets from tarnishing

Hey guys, I need some help, please.

I have made some key-chains and beer openers from brass casings with spent primers and new bullets. I need to find a way to keep them from tarnishing, either by coating with some form of lacquer or a wax of some type. I don't want anything that will be thick and maybe chip off, but rather something that will stand up to being in a pocket---the rubbing, etc.----and still keep the brass looking at least clean if not shiny.

Any ideas??????

Thanks

If it is toted in a pocket everything and anything will rub off eventually. I would think some sort of thin epoxy would work best. Look into West Systems epoxy. I can tell you it is expensive.

Thanks for the idea. If some sort of wax works for a while, maybe it could be re-applied regularly.....

I've used Krylon Clear in the past but as you mentioned above, it will chip eventually.

It does hold up surprisingly well. I have a 50cal bullet keychain from Bar-S machine that is turned AL and then anodized. It took about 6 months to show wear on the anodizing, but it has worn pretty well over the past 18 months.
