250gr a-tip clocked at 1009 m/s, that was only thing odd when i've fired a shot and with my left eye saw the numbers i was like omg that was 140m/s more than it should be and the next comment was "that action aint gonna open"
. Well next few minutes sure were interesting to say the least as action with some wooden convincing actually opened and bolt was then tapped out.
Everything was contained and the only reason it broke was because case head simply could not hold the pressure and maybe its designed to give way there. Everything else was OK, barrel had to be cut and milled out as it didn't budge via conventional means.
It really got scary after the fact when we've seen the amount of damage and based on speed you can easily calculate the pressure with Quickload at its peak (RS60 powder which is i think Reloder 17). Better to be lucky than smart i guess moment. One life down i wonder how many left...
