I am trying to determine how to set a Kestrel 5700 ballistic for a Zeiss Victory 4.8x35x60. None of the rings go far enough for the shooting distance so I am using the 000 ring that goes from 0-95 clicks.
Top of turret says .5cm/100m=1/6moa. I have determined that means the clicks are 1/6moa and have the kestrel set for that.
with a 100 M zero the kestrel says 3.96 clicks up at 200 M. Actual clicks up is 11 at 200 yds so I am thinking the app may be more accurate for whatever reason.
Using the zeiss app it says go up 12 clicks at 200 M.
Long story short, I think I have something set incorrectly for the kestrel, but customer service at both zeiss and kestrel cannot tell me how to set it correctly.
I know before you say it, and I am going to the range to check each setting on steel to confirm monday or tuesday.
The zeiss is brighter than any scope I have ever owned but this is the strangest set up for knobs I have ever seen.
Be forewarned, if you don't want to go down a crazy rabbit hole, don't try this one. I have wasted way more time on this than I will ever recover. I am banking on the fact someone on here is way better at math and ballistics than I am.
