So, I am slightly overwhelmed with the options for mounting cans these days. I have had my Nomad for going on a year now and it’s been great (thanks to people on this forum!), but I just ordered a TB Ultra 9 gen 2 and already starting to consider how I could keep the mounting the same with the two cans.

Does this EA adaptor allow the installation of a key-mo QD? https://www.capitolarmory.com/energetic-armament-thunder-beast-mount-bravo.html

I am not opposed to ditching the key-mo and going with A419, but the keymo stuff isn’t cheap and I definitely gets the job done.

Interested in other options for cross mounting compatibility if you know of any!

Thinking of easiest way to explain. Thunderbeast CB brake/ CB flash hider/ a419 mount is the male. Thunderbeast ultra has the CB female if that is what you bought (if you got direct thread it still has CB it just has to be converted by thunderbeast).

The product you linked converts other silencers female to work with above mentioned mounts. If I'm reading it right it will convert your nomad to work with cb compatible mounts. Keymo would be removed.

I think you might be able to edit to change the prefix of this thread to suppressors but at least it seems to be in the right section.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I could always ditch the Key-mo if needed but that would cost a few extra bucks. Either way it would be worth the cost to be able to interchange the cans across my rifles. I guess I should simply ask TB and see what they think.

Personally it doesn’t make sense to buy a tbac then put one of the heaviest can mounting systems on it. I would go with the 419 since it’s simpler, lighter, and cheaper. I say that as someone with a dozen key mo mounts across various platforms.

Key mo has solid repeatable lockup and the brake is a good design to reduce recoil but it comes at a cost in weight and with a tbac can I think you would be compromising one of its best features.

With the way the market is right now, anything hard to find will sell for at least retail and DA has had low supply out there so their products always get snapped up pretty quick.

Solid points, thanks for that!
I should be looking at the bright side, options are good!
I guess I have some time to figure out how to go about it... unfortunately.

No, that adapter will allow your Nomad to use Thunder Beast CB brakes and flash hiders.
