Kidd rear tang on ruger 10/22 action / how did you do it?

ok the kidd rear tang on the ruger 10/22 action.. are you guys milling the receiver to get it to fit more flush then milling the slot for the tang to fit into to? and how did you set up a counter sink for the internal screw???????? I cant fit anything in there!?!?!
