Re: kimber tactical pro2 9mm

I have had good luck with mine. Factory mags that came with mine sucked so I switched over to 10rnd cobra mags and I have not had any trouble at all. They fit perfectly flush with the mag-well. Good trigger, easy to handle, well made. Take down is kinda annoying as with the bull barrel and no bushing you need a small allen wrench to capture the recoil spring.

Re: kimber tactical pro2 9mm

Although I can't comment on the 9mm version, I have the Tactical Pro II chambered in .45acp. For what it's worth, this pistol has been reliable and accurate. The balance is good, and it's comfortable to wear. The checkering is very nice. I would assume that the 9mm would be a pleasure to shoot. I say go for it.

On the disassembly part, rack & lock the slide back, insert a bent paper clip in the hole in the guide rod. This captures the spring on the guide rod. Release & remove the slide then pull the entire top end off the frame. Pull the captured guide rod/spring assembly out to the rear, then pull the barrel out the front of the slide as normal. Reassemble in reverse order.

Do it a couple of times and you'll discover it really isn't a PITA!

Re: kimber tactical pro2 9mm

I got one for my wife to shoot at IDPA matches. Shot great for me. For her it was a different story. The brass would consistently hit her in the forehead. After sending it back to Kimber it was still the same. After a lighter recoil spring problem solved. All in all a great pistol it just had to be tuned to her small frame and weak hands.

I think you'll be happy with it if you pick one up. </div></div>

Ditto, I have a Custom and a Pro and in 45, love them both. I have never seen them in 9mm however. I am interested in hearing your story if you decide to add one to the collection.
