I have a KMW sentinel stock on the way, originally I was just planing on putting my sps tact 308 in it but am beginning to have second thoughts about what I should bed into this fine stock.

My thoughts originally were to go with the Remington until the barrel needed replaced and then go with a custom action down the road. I am starting to question my logic and am considering just going with a custom and leaving my Remington in the HS precision.

Just looking for some feed back of opinions.

Thanks all

Dan

Re: KMW advice

well only you can make that call. nothing at all wrong with a trued up remington especially since you already own in!! sell the stock and buy a barrel. thats were the real gain is anyway!! let me know if you do as i may need the stock! lee

Re: KMW advice

get a underground skunkworks 911 standalone, it fits in the existing 700 inlet and has all the best custom features available. for that matter send stock/rifle/ and new barrel to mike bush and let him put it together for you. i promise you will not be dissapointed.

It would probably cost you about 1,200-1,300 bucks to have the action trued, a custom barrel installed, pillar bedded, Jewell trigger installed and all the metal work coated. That would be a very nice rifle when completed.

Its funny that you would mention Skunkworks, i have been eyeing his recon rifle for over a year now.

Been considering a surgeon or a Skunkworks Recon build in my sentinel stock.

Decided on going the Skunkworks Recon route pending some firearm sales.

Thanks for chiming in!

Leaving my Remington in the hs stock.
