Are the knights armament commercial guns and parts, overruns of military contract guns? So the parts in commercial hands may be the worst spec parts of the run. Not saying that they are way out of spec or out of spec at all but they may have blems on finishes and such. School of American rifle did a bcg autopsy of a knights bcg sand cutter and found some dimensions to be high or not as efficient as one would expect from knights. Am I off base here by suggesting their commercial releases are their seconds? Not accusing or have a informed opinion i am just wondering what others think about this.

You nailed it. Furthermore, they denote all the reject parts and guns with an ‘X’ in the beginning of the part numbers, same way Lake City does for their ammo, like XM855. All major gov’t contractors do this. That way the gov’t knows it’s getting the best.

Not to mention the commerical guns are a few generations ahead of contract guns.

They would need a time machine to do what the OP asked.

What a stupid fucking question with zero reason to even ask.

Did he pin gauge it or stick it in a rifle and shoot it?

You know Knight’s Armament is largely responsible for the AR-15 as we know it today...right?
I do and I will keep buying them because they are the best. I was not saying I believe or disbelieve what I said I was just throwing a idea out to see if it was supported by anything anyone knows for sure.

The contract guns to special forces around the world are usually ahead of the curve due to their specs driving what knights build. When they have problems knights figures out solutions and makes changes to the platform. The special forces today are getting next gen stuff. A few months ago a picture was leaked that showed knights uppers with barrel change capability and it was right here on the hide. Again if someone knows otherwise factual data let me know.

What kind of dope are you smoking?
The good stuff cause I keep buying knights products. But what I see in the wild is largely overruns of contract guns. Now granted more recently the business model of knights may have switched as they lost a couple big contracts to hk. So their commercial line may be getting more attention and they may be running more dedicated commercial release stuff. But In the past the commercial side was hit or miss.

Those guns arent really contract guns and they were more of a thing of the past with one SMU.

Special forces is white sof, they get big SOCOM procurement which means bybthe time they get a gun its a few years old.
