I've been thinking on that.

The EC feels a lot more solid up front. I won't say heavy, or imbalanced, because thats really not the word to describe it. It does feel unbalanced with a CTR on it. I prefer the CTR due to its light weight and lack of bulk - may look to Marvin Pitts to see if the dimpling would adjust the cg back to where it wouldn't feel out of balance with a CTR.

Working on a writeup of my EC. May or may not post it, because I suspect it'll end up with 4 or 5 posts asking about specifics, and 5 or 10 pages of flaming, insults, or 'Why didn't you buy a GAP/OBR/MWS?'

I'm in FL so I had to pay sales tax

Price was $3495 plus tax which came up to around $3700

Not too bad considering my LMT cost me $2600 so my pretty KAC roll mark only cost me $1100.

I paid $8k for my Barret M82 so this purchase was a little more forgiving on the bank account.

I will have another MWS one day when funds allow.

Free, I'm pretty sure you got yours for wholesale.

Hell of a discount.

And actually, by the time you add in folding BUIS, a trigger equivalent to the KAC 2 stage, the sling mounts, and a big latch CH, the price difference is a lot less.

I'm finding out that feeding these rifles is the expensive part.

Black Hills is not cheap.

I'd have a hard time pulling a .338 Lapua trigger at $5 a pop. Holy shit.

WOW, ya'll are talking 5 to 6 grand. i have a dpms 16 inch lr308 that shoots sub moa everytime i take it out. i have under 1600 in the gun. it does it's job when i do mine. You guys must be serious about the zombie apocalypse.

+1 on the rail setup of Pakistani Ordnance Factory. People can say whatever they want about Knights and whatever flaws came about with the M110 but I was privy to some of its development. The military took a good weapon system and ruined it with their own bs requirements. We would have been much better off if they would have left the original prototype alone as Knights goes by their guidelines. That being said IF another company ever gets into the same role you will see a lot more failures in military use being worked through their system as Joe isnt quite so careful with his weapons as weekend warriors.

Bottom line is the EMC(ECC) OBR and MWS are all great. Each has pluses and minuses and each are capable of sub MOA.
