I considered getting mine bead blasted. But that shows scratches a quite a bit easier and has the possiblity of having non-stailess metal embedded into the barrel and showing rust. Not really all too worried about it as of now. I may for an elk hunting barrel.
6.5 guys had it done on some of their match rifles and it looks great!

I'll put a RimX in it temporarily, until I figure what I want permanent. Just wanted something on hand for when they're ready. It will be sort of a mini-me to the Bighorn in the skonk pic.

Fine here's my bad job. It's on a 22 fvsr I put in my old BB gun stock. It was a fun project desert new Mexico btw

have you had any issues with the clear coat failing on you? do you use this for PRS or just hunting? I'm just curious because I want to paint my bravo but would like for the paint to stay on longer than just a few uses.

Here is my humble contribution. I wanted to do a third color with some grey but decided to call it good with tan and green.

Man than looks awesome! What paint and sponge? Trying to get the nerve up to do 3 bravos.
I used the krylon camo stuff, I’ll try to find the cans and let you know. The sponges were from hobby lobby, I just tore them into some different sized pieces and just change how you hold it to alter the shape. Then just go wild with it. You can always do it again if you need to.
Simplicity is always best. Some of these on here with 4 5 and 6 colors are like

you could try, another idea is a base that matches the chassis, Barreled action and scope then do a pattern on the chassis. the only reason i suggest that is cause i cant imagine what sponge would look like on the whole gun. it does need something to tie it together though.

I realize this is an old thread, but you guys inspired me to try this. I just wanted to add that since I was using Krylon paint, I thought I'd use their clear coat too. I chose the satin finish, and was disappointed when it made the chassis look hazy. What was black became more of a gray, and the overall appearance of my paint job looked washed out. I applied a coat of Rust-Oleum's Painter's Touch clear coat on top of all that, and it helped, but I still don't have the same contrast that existed before any clear coat.
