Kruger created the new scope for complex combat situations. The U.S.-made sight is actually two scopes in one compact package.

For close combat situations, the sight is a high-resolution 1 MOA dot with a 60 MOA circle reflex sight. A flip of a lever transforms it into a 2-8×40 sniper scope with mil reticle.

All adjustments can be quickly made while looking through the sight, so there is no need to lose sight of a target. A patent-pending “zoom-slider” makes magnification adjustments quick and easy.

Other features include:

* Brightness-controlled “smart” illumination system
* Locking ¼’ windage and elevation tactical adjustments
* Fully multicoated optics
* Made in the U.S.A. (manufactured in Oregon from U.S. and imported parts)
* Waterproof/fogproof/nitrogen processed
* Shockproof
* Length < 11.5”

Sounds good but at this same time it seams a little gimmicky. I would like to see one.

If it's like the APR spotting scope this won't go very far. That thing was weak.

But, very interesting and I'll check 'em out at SHOT.

I forgot to check it out at SHOT, so I'm not much help here. But, it's not like the scope is a household name, 8 months later.

I looked at it at SHOT. It was a very early prototype, so we'll have to see how the final thing works out.

I mentioned it briefly n my SHOT show write-up and there is a picture there as well:

To me it looked like they had some pretty serious challenges to overcome in order to bring this thing to production. However, they are definitely thinking outside the box, so I am very curious to see how it all works out.

Haven't heard anything about it lately.

I thought it was gonna be smaller and shorter than that.

Only thing I could find about it

"Kruger had a couple of very unusual scopes aimed at the tactical market. These were still just prototypes, so there are still issues to work out. However, Kruger is clearly thinking outside the box. In the picture below, the squarish body houses lenses in it, just like a normal scope does. In this case, it is a 2-8x40. The raised end houses a non-magnifying sight, where you are looking straight through. If you flip the lever on the left of the body to "MilDot" position, it lifts a mirror that brings the image through the scope up to your eye. Zooming is accomplished using the sliding control on the left of the scope body. The large round wheel on top of the scope is vertical adjustment. It is an interesting concept, which could have some utility if Kruger can pull it off. The couple of pieces they had at the show were very early prototypes, so we'll see how they look going further. There is also a version without the non-magnifying sight where you simply look straight-through like in a normal scope.
I call this OLSLO: Odd Looking Scope Like Object. However, the concept is interesting and I wonder if they will be able to pull it off:"

I did, and it was a very early prototype. I have not heard anything since, so we'll see if they have any updates before next SHOT.
