The announcement of the Snipershide.com group build made me remember that I wanted to publicly thank Marc at Spartan Rifles for his great work as well as AI and Bartlein for some great products. I love my AIAX, I love it even more when it's making me look good.
After the 2009 SH.com group build I know that Frank thought long and hard about whether it was worth it to even do another one. I'm glad he decided that it was and I'm even happier that he chose Marc Soulie to do the build. Marc is detail oriented and has a true passion for the doing builds right. I spoke to him about 1.5 years ago about the process of chambering a barrel and the level of detail he put into describing the extra steps he takes convinced me right then to send him all my future work.
I've shot in 3 major matches this year, I am currently running 100% on my cold bore shots. There's lots of talk about whether cold bore shift really exists, whether it's the shooter or the rifle, etc etc. I don't know about other rifles, but I can tell you that when I miss....it's all me. In major matches a hit or miss on cold bore can move you up...or down...SEVERAL places. Cold bore hits are very important!!
The hostage target was a 200 yard single shot, then a 3 shot follow up next to it. The Shoot-N-C a 200 yard cold bore day 2 I think.
