I recently shot a 308 with a good brake and a Kynshot Recoil Buffer and it was like shooting a 223. With enough eye-relief there's no scope eye as it only compresses about a 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch at the most.
I know McMillan once did something similar with a Hydraulic stock to mitigate 50bmg... it's very different technology, but similar idea. How detrimental do you think this movement would be in precision shooting?
