It's a flash drive. You can dump the flash contents to your computer to save a copy of the existing flash drive directory structure and contents. The string-of-shots data are saved under the LBR directory within a subdirectory named after the date (using the subdirectory name convention of mmddyy). Under the date directories/folders, the various shot strings are stored in further subdirectories named sr001, sr002, etc. You can rename those shot string subdirectories to whatever you want on the computer without disturbing the original flash drive. I'd keep the LBR/mmddyy/[shot-string-name] format because it preserves useful info. Then you can manipulate those as you like on the computer.
