This stuff tastes delicious, however it may be at a price. My email is below, I'll let you know how they respond.

Can you help me decipher the back of this bag? It says that there are 570mg of caffeine per ounce. It also says that it has 2x the amount of caffeine as a "normal" cup of coffee.

If a "normal" cup of coffee has 95mg of caffeine in an 8 ounce cup (USDA), and Rocket Fuel has 54,150mg of caffeine in an 8 ounce cup....

Am I about to die? I'm two cups in and pouring a third.

The LD50 for caffeine in humans is estimated 150-200mg/kg (13,200-17,600mg for me). I figure that a lethal dose was ingested halfway through the first cup. Is this the way I go out? Do I develop some type of superhuman powers? Is this like that scene in Lucy?

I got to thinking on this and I'm almost positive that the caffeine content is 570mg per ounce of whole beans. That would make a lot more sense, as I'm sure the makers don't want to kill off all of their customers.

It seems as though there may be a small misunderstanding with the caffeine content of our Rocket Fuel. The 570mg of caffeine is in relation to per ounce of the coffee beans.

When I make a standard cup of coffee, I am doing 7 grams (~0.249 ounce/approximately 2 tablespoons) of ground coffee beans per 6oz of water.

If you are making an 8oz cup of coffee with the above measurement you are receiving around 190mg of caffeine -- this number will vary depending on how well you brew your coffee beans -- per 8oz cup of coffee.

We do have superfood products, however, we do not claim that they bestow superhuman powers. But if you do develop any powers, please be sure to let us know!
