Lapping tools AR Upper

I know Brownells sells the tool to lap the upper receiver face for the AR15, but what about one for the AR10 style uppers. Didn't see one at Brownells.... Maybe just missed it. Recommended sources?? Thanks.

Every ones out of them except for Pacific tool that makes them .There shipping is really high though.

If you lap or true the seating face it will change the head space, is the seating faces square to each other & square to the bore. None of this will help if the receiver threads & the barrel nut are not square to each other, or the other parts. what will you do now.

Head space is not affected by squaring the receiver face.

Dose that not set the barrel in deeper into the receiver

Yes, but head space is set by the relation of the bolt to the chamber when locked into the barrel extension, which doesn't change.

Ok, but does that change the lock timing on the bolt & pin

No. The bolt can only rotate so far in the carrier.
