In your opinion is there any reason not to go with the small primer Palma brass for .308? I want to start over on my lot of brass switching from lclr to lapua to get rid of as many variables as possible. I think the only downside would be possible ignition issues in below zero temps? Also like the idea of primer uniformity between my ar and bolt gun

Also so do I need to just bite the bullet and drop the coin on type s fl sizing dies to further stack tolerances or can I get away with my cheap Lee collet neck sizer and rcbs fl die?

If you are going to go with Lapua brass spend the extra money and buy a good set of dies, in 308 I use RCBS competition dies. I would think the small primer would be fine unless you plan on shooting in real cold temps

Love 308 Palma brass. Very consistent MVs. Lot easier to load for as result - fewer headaches and work. On the temp sensitivity, I'm using a magnum primer to reduce this potential risk and I have not had issues at 15*F, but I'm not in a really cold spot like MT or ND... if you are doing a lot at 0*F, you might not want the worry.
