Not even a good price. Used to be 3 for 75 each. Better off getting a G2S on sale for like 125.
I've found the Rock River Arms varmint trigger to be better than the LaRue. I've owned 3 of the laRues and 2 of them had very distracting creep. The RRAs are consistently good.
The LaRue trigger are very good for the price but I prefer the Geissle DMR except it costs several times what the LaRue does
im not seeing any drawbacks here.
The rra is one of the worst triggers made. First it's a 25+ year old design. Second, they wear in and eventually fail. Bad triggers that had poor service life Is the reason bill giesselle made his trigger in the first place. No one runs them anymore for that reason. I'm surprised you can even buy them today with all the good triggers on the market. They would be the last choice.

Thought the hat and dust weren’t a thing anymore. To me they are a good deal under 100, at ~80 they were the best deal on an AR trigger.

I've never had trouble with RRA and have had trouble with LaRue.
I've got Geissele on my high volume "blaster" guns, where I may put 500 rounds down a gun in a day.
But all the occasional use guns where I just want a decent 2 stage trigger, the RRAs have worked great, much better than the LaRue.
With that said, LaRue has offered to replace the triggers I'm not happy with. I've just put off breaking down the guns because I'm short of time these days and it's not a priority.
"I have never had trouble with" is not a qualified statement.
Not having an issue which is percentage based does not mean a thing.
The RRA's have a long and proven history of failure, and anyone who has been in this game a while and paying attention knows it. I owned a few back in the day, and its not even that good of a trigger. Meh at best, and will deadline your gun at worst.
What larue problems? I had a couple RRA 2 stage in my service rifles get spongey and one went full auto, this was probably 10 years ago though maybe their process is different now. My biggest gripe with the larue trigger is that it feels more like pushing a button than pulling a trigger kind of thing. The Geissele lineup has a better "feel" to me.
I'm a small time 07 FFL. Back when LaRue was selling the ultimate upper kits, I bought a few to sit on since I had a feeling this couldn't last. It didn't, and I sold the kits locally and assembled them with lowers that either customers provided or bought from me.
I have had 2 out of 5 or 6 of the LaRue 2 stage triggers exhibit a lot of distracting, creep. You didn't feel it if you were shooting fast. But if you were trying to shoot precisely, the creep seemed to go on and on and on.
Between triggers for myself, my friends, and for customers, I've probably put in 20 RRA triggers. The Match and Varmint triggers are the same thing except the Match has a heavier return spring. To me, they are basic 2 stage triggers that work fine. They aren't anything amazing. But the creep is much less than the LaRue and I've never had any of them fail.
Yes, the G2S is better. The Rock River cost me $80 and the G2S cost me 130ish. For some people who just want a trigger that is better than a military trigger, the RRA is great.
