I'm going to mount my NF 3-15x50 (not F1) on my P308. I would like to use the LaRue LT120 so I can swap the scope easily between the P308 and my bolt 308 and 6.5x47. Both bolt guns have Badger 20 MOA bases. The LT120 is 0 MOA. Since the scope has 110 MOA travel there still should be plenty of elevation left for the P308 correct? Assuming is zeros near center. I highly doubt I would shoot past 800 with it. Applied shows my bolt 308 load at 1k using 41.5 MOA. Is my math adding up here? I've never had a flat base and I want to make sure before I buy it.

You will have more than enough elevation with an NXS to more than 1000 yds. Just keep in mind that usually to get a 100 yd zero, you will have to dial at least 20 MOA up, which leaves that elevation unusable.

One thing you might want to investigate is the scope height after the Larue mount is added to the top of a 20 MOA base on your bolt guns. I had a buddy do the same thing your thinking of and he could never get a good cheek weld. It was way too high IMHO. He eventually gave up and bought another scope and went with rings. Would the LT719 QD rings work on both the flat top AR and your 20 MOA base on the bolt guns? I know it doesn't address you original post but it's just a thought.

Yeah, I looked at the 719s and I don't think they will work. They would just be too low.

This might be the perfect excuse to buy another scope........We will see what Momma has to say

A somewhat different situation but I have a LRT mount with a 1" Leupold mounted and I switch it between several AR's and even an AK occasionally. NO 20 MOA issues, but the LRT system works well and once you know the rezero between guns...it's quite repeatable.

I have a NF 3-15 mounted in LaRue Tac's LT158 SPR-s QD mount, and that goes on an LMT MWS. I can't recall why I initially picked it, though I think I wanted the extra 10 moa it offered. I can get beyond 1000, though I forget by how much. This is with a 100 yard zero, running 175SMKs at approx. 2600fps

Partially related, I found it hard to get a good, consistent and comfortable cheek weld with the Magpul ACS, the mount and my face size. I am trying at Battleline Industries cheek riser to see if that helps. By comparison, the LT104 on an AR SPR and its Magpul PRS is very comfortable...

Do yourself a Favor and DONT buy a QD mount. I dont give a shit what anyone says, its a poor idea, and LARUE is not even one of the best QD designs.

Instead, get a good Non QD mount and buy a set of torque wrenches like the Borka set.

QD mounts will have shift and you are going to have a different Zero on each rifle anyway, so if you are going to rezero each... just use Torque wrenches with a solid mount.
