Guys I've been running the Larue LT-120 mount for a couple months now and have mixed opinions. First run with it I had the caps set to 20 inlbs and had a tube slip. Remount and went to 25inlbs and that problem has not surfaced again. I shot 5 three shot groups taking the scope on and off after each group and results were great and everything was shooting to POA. I went this route so I could use one optic on a couple different rigs and for this I love the mount. I have not seen much love on this site for the Larue and I was just looking for some good or bad info from those that have used it. Is there a better mount of this type I should give a shot? I'm getting ready to buy one more and want my money spent well. Borbo and ADM both look top notch except fore the hieght.

LaRue told me to torque the screws to 30InLbs...

Having done so with all my LaRue mounts I have not had a single problem with slip or POA/POI shift. This is with two LT150's, and LT139 and LT112. All have worked as advertised.

You are right, there does not appear to be much love for Mark LaRue or his mounts on here, but as a sample of one, they work for me.

I haven't had any problems with the three LaRue mounts I currently have. For QD mounts on an AR, I like LaRue. They maintain POI and do everything I need. Lots of folks like them, lots of folks hate them too for some reason.

I also have some Seekins rings on a Rem 700 that are great too (off topic for what you're looking for probably).

Have heard lots of good about Bobro, and know quite a few guys that swear by them, but I haven't ended up trying them yet.

I have had a LaRue LT-104 (SPR) mount on my LaRue Stealth rifle for about 4 years now. I have had no problems with it holding or re-mounting to zero. That being said to get it to hold I really need to set the qd cams to dig in, which has marred my receiver some, that doesn't bother me much, but I am looking in to purchasing an American Defense mount for my new scope... When it gets here I will post a thread comparing the two

I prefer the Bobro mounts over the Larue and other QD style mounts I've used to date. GDI mounts also look like they would be worthy looking into, I just have not tried them yet. You could also get a Spuhr mount and with a quality torque wrench like the one from Borka tools and achieve the same thing, just a little slower mounting system.

If you look at the picture, you can see how little of the rail the Larue grabs compared to the Bobro design. The Bobro has a more solid mounting interface and is just better designed overall.
