Rifle Scopes Laser genetics nd3

Re: Laser genetics nd3

I bought the nd3x50.

It is large. 1" tube with a 50MM objective. I had it on an M4.

The mount that comes with it is flimsy and unusable. I put it on an elzetta zroc which seemed to work. I used the button cap, not the tape switch. The reason was, I wanted the ability to 'steer' the beam to my reticle and then align them to the target.

We just had a suppressor-only night shoot last weekend, and we were able to shoot with it out to 600Y.

I missed only a couple times shooting steel with it out to 400Y with the M4. I illuminated targets out to 600Y for the precision rig guys, and they didn't miss. I have a feeling it would work further out than that based on the tightness of the beam at 600Y.

I also used it in the same fashion as white light for some close-up stages we did. It worked great for that too. If this thing is shined at you you will instinctively turn away from it. I had the small one shined at me at about 125Y away. It is so offensive that it is unthinkable that you would be able to look directly at it and return accurate fire. And that's the little one.

FWIW - It completely washes/whites out night vision, and that's just by pointing it at the same target. If this were pointed at someone with NV (and same was pointing back) the laser would be able to engage but the NV would not.

I am happy with it. It's not as HSLD as NV, but it's not $10K either. Still have to work out a mounting solution to get it on my precision rig.
