LC Brass with strange crimp marks

I just got some LC 5.56 brass and alot of it has strange crimp marks. Instead of the circular crimp, there are 4 dash marks. the dash marks are also not on the periphery but a little further out. Kind of what you would do when you stake something with a punch - you would move off of the edge so that the material can be pushed towards the edge.

I'm thinking that I am just going to throw this brass away.

Nothing wrong with it; just a different style of crimp.

It's fine. I believe the PMC X-TAC is crimped that way also.

I thought that was the primary way they were crimped with the full circle being the less common method

Remove the crimp as normal, the brass is fine.
