Rifle Scopes Leatherwood Scopes

Re: Leatherwood Scopes

I have the Leatherwood HiLux CMR. It's a 1-4x CQB optic. For the price, it's a bargain. Much clearer than I expected, tracks well and even offers a fairly primitive zero stop. Illumination is crisp and eye relief is plentiful.

On a bright day the reticle can get a bit washed out but I'm sure the ATR has a different one.

For Chinese glass I'd say it's pretty good.

I've also got the CMR and I snow-shoed/ coyote hunted for 3 days and nights straight in 0 degree weather and it shot great the whole time. And the illumination never died because of the cold, even though my AA powered GPS and smaller headlamp all faded out with the cold. I would definitely say it's a great buy for an assault rifle scope.

David Fortier just did a review of the HiLux 2.5-10x44 m-1000 ART in the most current shotgun news Jun 10 2011. In a nutshell he said it was easy to use and in use on the m-21 until 1988. He dunked it in water, froze it, steamed it and it held up with no problems. Said the Auto/Range mode would get you hits on a man size target, but wasn't exactly to point of aim. In the end he said he wasn't going to be replacing his scopes with one, but that it worked and was unique. Cost according to him was $459
