Legal Precedent May Be CNN's Friend

My child on occassion has had to stand in the corner quietly reflecting on his actions while the adults interact with eachother and the well-behaved children. Passing off every question coming from Mr. CNN would be extraordinarily enjoyable to watch as long as a split screen captures the facial expressions of both he and Trump throughout the process.

The ruling has never been challenged at SCOTUS. By the time the appeals court ruled Johnson was gone. Nixon did not appeal. I think.

What if the President started ignoring court rulings? Who would order his arrest and who would execute the court's writ? I'd be OK with a constitutional crisis that finally kicked things off.

Arrest Trump? Not until that smug witch Lerner and Holder are cooling their heels in the hoosegow.

Why should Jim bother to go back? To act like a dick and talk over the POTUS and other reporters? Most other reporters might agree with his political views but I'd imagine get real sick and tired of his childish behavior when they have questions to ask.

Acosta didn't lose his pass because of his viewpoints....most of the people in the press pool have it in for Trump. He lost it because he's a dick. The Constitution does not protect your right to be a dick. The press used to be able to engage with people they disagreed with in a mature and respectful manner. They asked the hard questions, but in a mature manner which respected the office. Being an inflammatory dick then claiming the Constitution protects your right to behave in such a manner is hogwash. Otherwise why wouldn't every tom dick and harry be allowed in the "press pool"?

Due fucking process!!!

How about due process being applied to the red flag laws being enacted at various places in the country

Fuck CNN and all MSM.

There is no law requiring press conferences being given by the WH. Eliminate them and problem goes away. We all know what POTUS thinks due to the tweet behavior. Not missing anything

Nik, it isn't that I don't agree with you. I do. Due process is turning into kangaroo declarations of unjust "justice." But it'll get slapped with a ruling before the first jurist who will undoubtedly be an Obama or Clinton appointee. The only way this will be addressed fitfully is if it goes all the way to the top with a then-favorable SCOTUS complement.

The Atlantic article completely misrepresents what happened at the press conference. This was a bad ruling when it was made, and it's a bad ruling today. That ruling is egregious making laws and rules out of the whole cloth of the judge's opinion. It's an absurd opinion, because it's NOT an opinion.

They can report whatever they want. They do not have a right to be a part of the White House Press Pool, nor does there even have to be a White House Press Pool! He can blow up the whole thing, revoke all their passes, and be done with all the whiney bitches.

This whole thing is beyond the pale, and shows us where the whole media is, not just CNN. CNN is just the most brazen propaganda arm of the DNC. The rest of them are just as guilty of pretending to be journalists while being activists.

I liked Ted Olsen. I don't like him anymore. He took this case, and he could have refused. I would have refused. It's bullshit. Acosta was not removed for asking tough questions. He was removed for being offensive ass, and refusing to follow protocol, rules, or even standard decency.

CNN Lawsuit’s Version of Jim Acosta Incident Is Fake News

The Whitehouse should have set rules of decorum for the press pool long before this. And enforced them evenly and consistently. You watch the brief and its like a kindergarten classroom. On top of that phones are buzzing and ringing.

The problem is that if they do not have clear cut protocols and procedures i.e. warnings , appeals etc. they are ripe for a loss here.

The Atlantic article seems to glean it's facts directly from the CNN lawsuit rather than the TELEVISED press conference! WTF. Are these stupid fucks so dumb they think we can't watch what happened without their spin and commentary? Seriously, anyone stupid enough to believe them is too dumb to be allowed to vote.

I agree that the WH comments on the contact were a bridge too far, and they should not have focused on that, though it's good that I'm not POTUS, because as soon as he pulled the microphone away I would have knocked that podium aside and advanced on the fuck ready to ground and pound him if he didn't turn it right over. How crazy would that have made these commies?
