I was disappointed with the lack of load data for the Lehigh BoreRider which has such a great BC at .869. I found a little bit of data and no one went into detail about their loads. So I figured I would add my information about the best load I found.

Lapua once fired brass
Full length resized
Primer pockets were uniformed
Trimmed to 2.710 inches
Federal Large Rifle Magnum Primers
93.2gr of Reloader 25
Lehigh 245gr Hybrid BoreRider Bullet
COAL of 3.900

Three shot velocity as follows:
1)3035 FPS
2)3022 FPS
3)3012 FPS

Rifle used is a custom built Rem 700 with a 28" Bartlein barrel.

The group was shoot at 500 yards with a 10-15 MPH West Texas wind coming from 11 o'clock. The group measured 2.362 inches center to center.

Planning on taking this load out to 1760 yards. If the BC is correct, then the round should not go subsonic until after it 2300 yards.

Re: Lehigh 245gr Hybrid BoreRider in 338 Lapua

I worked my load from 92.0gr up to 94.1gr by going up .3gr each time. Did not see any signs of over pressure. The is room for approximately 96-97gr before becoming compressed.

I tried these bullets today with retumbo at 3.915 (.015 off lands) with powder charge from 97 to 99. I went from 2960 to 3190 before I was done testing at 99 grains. My groups were about 1 moa at 200 yards......and then I realized the whole time I was shooting my scope was moving back from recoil. It moved atleast 5/8 after my 25 shots. First time using an ADM mount. I suppose I have to crank the snot out of it. My spuhr never did that.

It was 30 degrees today. In the summer I wouldnt not doubt I would be over 3200 fps (26" barrel on DTA). This shows it would be supersonic past 2400 yards. I wonder if their .869 bc is correct.......
