I've read that the Leica rangefinders do not do well in rain/snow. Is this issue bad enough to keep it from being a reliable tool for bow hunting? I really like the optics quality and feature set for long range shooting but not sure it's the best option for hunting. I'd appreciate your thoughts...

I can't tell you for sure with rain or snow...I can tell you that I got socked in by thick fog once....really thick. Like, low beams on the truck...20 yard visibility, high beams....really bad idea. As the sun rose, it cleared a little, but RF was out of luck. Both my Leica and my son's Sig. The fog really diffracts the laser. Did use it in light rain once.....no problems at all but it was not very hard rain, but I hear thick falling snow plays hell with almost all RF's.
