I'm looking for a lens cover for a Leup Mark4 ERT scope 50mm objective end.

But since the rings leave just a very little space between the bell and the handguard, I need something that can fit inside the objective end and will not add any diameter.

There used to be something called "Killflash" that went inside the bell end, but as I recall, it had to be used with a cap that went outside the bell end.

ANy suggestions? Thanx.

Get these. You can get plastic butlers but you'll be replacing the eyepiece one every year or so since through use they eventually won't stay closed. The other nice thing about the aluminas is that when open they open all the way and lay flat against the scope body which the plastic ones don't do.

Leupold Alumina, they screw in.

With both Butler Creeks, & Bikini Style, you can shave the bottom edge of the cover so that it doesn't get stuck between the objective bell & the barrel when you go to remove/open it. Though with the poor quality I've been hearing of with Butler Creeks lately, I'm not sure they're a wise bet. Also, if you screw a lens shade onto your scope, say a 4"er, due to the taper of the barrel, you'll have a bit more clearance to work with for your objective cover.

I've got three sets of alumina covers ,and yes they are expensive, but so far they have worked well. So far I've not broken them, and I've been pretty hard on them. Lots of coyote hunting and hard use. Just my 2 cents.
