Les Baer varmint AR upper and lrb lower build.

So i built my first AR 15 using an Les Baer varmint upper and a Lrb arms lower. I'm very happy with the lower but man i had to do a ton of grinding on the upper to get it to sit right. Is this a normal problem with the Les Bear uppers and do i have anything to worry about. So now I'm looking for some recommendations on a decent scope sub 200 to start. This rifle will be for targets up to 200 yards since there are not many places around that go further then that, and some varmint. If you guys have any other suggestions let me know.

You had a $65 lower receiver....

and a $1200 upper from LB.......


And you chose to take the grinder to the $1200 part vs the $65 part why?

I was asking myself the same...

To the OP, too late to do anything about the lower/upper fit now since you have already put a grinder to the part(s). If it fits now then leave it be and move on.

You should've contacted les baer in the first place BEFORE modifying anything.

Les would have a frickin' stroke if he read this. The "guy" that did the "fitting" should have done a little thinkin' about this one too before hacking away at a good part.

Hell, I just called LB and asked if they used locktite or rockset on the handguard tube to barrel nut and he shorted out!

You should of heard him the time I had to send back one of my Premier II's for work and I told him the grip safety was pinned and I was running a 35oz. trigger on it (it's my Single Stack comp gun). I thought he was going to blow a head gasket.
