No governor will affect your life more than this next elected president. He’s an egomaniac and a control freak, even he would probably tell you that...especially if you told him he was wrong. But at days’ end, he’s been effective both globally and domestically. This needs to be the bit that’s focused on, not his public speaking skills.

I think the thing is that we’ve all been conditioned to see a president as gentile and diplomatic. I also think if you go back to some of the writings of the Founding Fathers, you’ll find that they were anything but in their day. It’s just that history has taught us they were all gentleman. Regardless, their messages all ring true now more than ever as you what their visions for the Rebublic were.

Bring back the patriot, bring back the businessman, get rid of the career politician. Term limits are needed if this is ever to be reshaped. That and fresh blood. I don’t want a bloated government, but maybe it’s time for a payrise for elected officials at state and federal levels to incentivize individuals to take a break from the private sector and put an effort into representing the people.
