I have a tempest away at the moment getting a switchlug, it has 26" proof steel and carbon 7mm SAW barrels, and is getting a 22" 260 barrel added. Stock will most likely be a Cadex field QD at this stage.

After working on some tooling last week I will be barreling my next favorite bear gun, a pre-interarms Zastava large ring mauser in 9.3 x 62, original barrel was a 8 mm, gun will be used for baited bear hunts so I am going with a 19.5 inch. In addition to the barrel I am installing a win 70 three-position swing safety. For this spring's hunt is Sask I will probably drop it into the original after I open up the barrel channel as I have not decided on the permanent stock, after it is cerakoted in black.

Hopefully, it will impress the bears.

Sounds like a very fun project

Spear?

Ar-10 in .308 switching to a 6.5 creedmoor. Got a Ballistic Advantage 20 in barrel and have it on the upper. It is ejecting perfectly but not picking up a round out of the mag. It is still cold up here so working slowly on the project

NRL Hunter build
.25 Creedmoor
Tikka CTR action
XLR Carbon chassis
24” X-Cal 1:7 “lightweight” carbon barrel

(Not pictured)
USO FDN17x
Badger rings
TBAC 338 Ultra
Ckyepod

Barrel still needs to be chambered and the handguard needs some additional MLOK slots cut in to better mount an Arca rail, but she‘s getting there.

Weight is right under 16lbs with an empty mag as configured above.

That's going to be an awesome build I have always liked the smooth tikka actions

I haven't shot an ar10 but one day I would like to build one and it's still cold where I am at also

Thanks, I will post after cerakote. Although, the Mauser 98 design is long in the tooth I like them for hunting up to midrange after that there are platforms that do better for me.
I am looking forward to seeing it I am looking forward to hunting this year because I can hunt out of my reloading room so I can sit in a tall bar stool and shoot off of a tripod

Currently I have a new 22lr build underway, with another 22lr blank just arrived today to try a different twist in comparison. Sending off a 6mm blank to spin up a new 6bra for the impact, and some minor changes on the 300 Norma. Pretty pumped to get the new 6bra back up and running
