Leupold® Tactical Optics Lowers Price on Mark 8™ 1.1-8x24mm CQBSS™
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold® Tactical Optics is lowering the cost of the cutting-edge Mark 8 1.1-8x24mm CQBSS™ M5B1 Front Focal.
“We’ve worked with the production and assembly teams to increase efficiencies allowing us to reduce the cost of the CQBSS,” said Kevin Trepa, Leupold’s vice president of global sales. “While this optic was designed for the American warfighter in theater, it’s an outstanding choice for competition and home defense rifles as well.”
With models now starting at $2,999 MSRP, Leupold’s versatile Mark 8 CQBSS riflescope offers the speed of a holographic red dot sight and the capability of an 8-power precision riflescope in one rugged, field-proven unit. The 34mm maintube features a fully checkered ocular bell for making quick magnification adjustments even while wearing gloves.
The front focal plane reticle is accurate at all magnification settings and is combined with a 5-MOA holographic red dot for the ultimate blend of precision and rapid acquisition. Eight illumination settings allow for optimum dot contrast with or without night vision. An off position between each intensity setting makes returning to the preferred setting nearly immediate.
In addition, the Mark 8 CQBSS has Auto-Locking Pinch and Turn dials with 0.10 mil clicks that are extremely easy to adjust, yet eliminate accidental adjustment in the field. Leupold’s Index Matched Lens System® with DiamondCoat 2™ provides increased light transmission and scratch resistance that exceeds mil-specs.
Mark 8 riflescopes have a matte black finish and are filled with an Argon/Krypton gas blend, making them second-generation waterproof, fog proof and shock proof. Measuring 11.75 inches long and weighing just 23.2 ounces, the Mark 8 CQBSS packs a lot of power in a compact unit. Flip-open lens covers and a 2.5" sun shade are standard issue.
