Before I give them a call (I contacted Leupold CS 4 days ago on their website but still haven't heard anything), is there a Leupold Rep here on the hide?

I am wondering if they can install the M5 dials on an M3 scope. That way I can have a mil/mil scope. Also interested in having the TMR reticle installed. Anyone done this?

    Thanks.

Yes it's possible - they were supposed to be able to to do it last fall, so I would think by now it would be a go.... they were waiting to get the M5's out before they started retrofitting. Calling them usually works the best. Depending on the cost you may be better off selling that one and buying the M5 if that's what you want. I had the FFP M5, and really liked it.

Dials should be ~100$ apiece, reticle swap 120ish depending on who you talk to.

Personally I would just keep your scope an M3 and go order the 5-20 super sniper if you want a mil-mil scope. Tons of elevation adjustment, 10mil turrets, illumination, MP8 reticle, won't be 999 forever. Group buy price just went live last night so you have 28 days to think it over.

No was the answer given to me a week or 2 ago, Leupold is not very fast on the e-mail side cold wait awhile. However if you call just do the option for military/law enforcement and talk to the rep. What I was told was that the M5 knobs and scopes are completely different internally than the other scopes and that it is not physically possible to convert with the current M5 knob. However they have been working on another M5 knob that can be retrofitted to older scopes, which should be close to being done. Like everyone else is saying just sell it and get either a new one or the SS.
