Got it in today...
Took it out in the backyard and looking at the field behind our house at dusk.
Compared it into darkness against the following scopes and I am shocked at how well it performed:

Viper 2-7 C3
S&B Zenith 1.5-6x42 Flashdot #9
Accupoint 3-9x40 mildot / green dot

All I was really doing was seeing how it stacked up against the others as darkness fell and observing some oak trees at 90 yards and how well I could see the trunk and branches into to the point they were no longer visible with the naked eye.

It had better glass than the Viper, instantly noticeable and the reticle was much bolder.
Clear winner: Firedot, hands down

OK.. the shocker was how well it held it's own against the Accupoint and S&B
Not talking about how stunningly clear and high resolution the S&B is, but how, the Firedot would have let me take a shot that the S&B and Accupoint would have and how comparably bright it was..

Hard to to believe
The dot was very small and dimly lit, as dim as the Accupoint and as small, very precise aiming point
The #4 was done well, not TOO thick or close together like some I have seen

I did not test in bright light to see how the daylight visible setting is but it is clearly MUCH brighter than the night time setting.

I am usually disappointed with stuff, sometimes impressed and almost never have my expectations far exceeded...

I will test field of view on 2x, eye relief consistency, resolution, etc.. and report back

I put it close to the Viper 2-7 for a size comparison

Trees at 200 yards, scope at 2x
this was right at daybeak with the sun just to the left of the trees
Lots of light coming in my direction and the dot is set to max
