Hi there guys,

I am currently looking at a few Leupold scopes and had a question that I could not find an answer to that I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am specifically looking at the Leupold Mark 4 LR/T line of scopes. Is there a particular reason why the scopes with the M3 turrets cost more than the M1 and M5 turrets? My understanding is that the M3 offers the most course adjustments out of all of them. Is there anything else unique to the scopes with the M3 turrets that I am missing? I am going off MSRP prices alone.

Thanks for all of your help guys!

I bought one roughly 4 years ago. It came originally with the .25 MOA turrets, M1 I think. I later sent it back and had the M5 .1 mil turrets installed when they were finally offered. But if I remember correctly the M1 and M3 turrets were the same priced option. Are the reticles different between the scopes your pricing? That would influence them I'm sure. Mine originally had just a normal mil-dot reticlebut I had that changed out as well to the TMR when I had my turrets replaced. Cost for it was 100 or 125. Just guessing but that might be a reason for the cost difference.

Hmmm doesn't seem like the price difference is in the reticles. The M1 Mil Dot and TMR are priced the same and the M3 Mil Dot and TMR are priced the same.

Is there anything in the build quality that makes the M3 cost a little bit more? Or is it just the fact that the M24 uses the M3 turrets?
