Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4 Value?

Hey all,

I've done alot of searching but can't really find any info.

I have a 2003 Leupold Mark 4 3x9-40 that I'm looking to sell. However, I can't find any idea what the scope is worth.

So, if you have any ideas, please let me know.

First post for me ! I have the same scope with the TMR and illuminated. I bought it used with Mark 4 rings for $900. It was a 04 model in perfect condition. Hope this helps !

This is a bare bones scope. Just adjustable magnification and your normal windage/elevation adjustment. Scope is in great condition except for some wear marks on the win/elev covers. Here's a couple pics if this helps

$500-$650 due to not having M1 knobs IIRC.

Dang, didn't know the older bare bone Mark 4 Leupold's held their value that well. Thanks for the info!

Can anybody else verify this (not questioning your knowledge Creature) I wanna make sure I don't rip anybody off when trying to sell it.

I've seen them go in the 400 dollar range, maybe 450. I think when you get up around the 600 dollar range you're getting close to a used 4.5-14X40 PR, which has a 30mm tube and side parallax adjustment. If your scope has a mil dot reticle, that will help.

It looks just like a Vari-X II tactical that I bought new several years back.

Thanks for the info KSP. If it had a mil reticle, I would keep it for my AR, but it's just a regular X reticle.

Now the problem is what scope to get. Wanting the new Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50, but not sure I can wait till April and patience is not a virtue of mine.

Thinking about a Super Sniper instead, but I'm still doing research.

3x9's are hunting scopes....a bit problematic in the games we play do to the fixed parallax....not the hot lash up good luck on your sale

Yeah, I know it's not quite y'alls cup of tea, but if anybody knows scopes, I figured it'd be the guys on here.
