I haven't used it nearly as much as the Mark 4 but I have compared them side by side...
-Mark 4 is a little more compact and isn't as apparent as I carry the rifle
-Vortex 30mm tube pulls in a touch more light. Not a big difference to me though
-I actually find the traditional Leupold reticle easier to get on
-I don't use the illuminated reticle on the Vortex as much as I thought I would
-The tactical elevation and windage on the Vortex are great/required for me on the 300 blackout switching between super and subsonic ammo.
Overall I really like the Mark 4. I think it's a good scope. If you don't need to dial in elevation/windage for range or super/sub sonic loads and are trying to be budget conscious then go with the Mark 4. If you think you may eventually need that or the illuminated reticle hold out for the Viper.
Hope that helps </div></div>
He said Mark AR, not Mark 4... I'd assume theres a pretty big difference! lol
