I am thinking about getting the leupold mark ar 3x9x40mm t2. Has anyone had any experience with these, good/bad? Is there anything else I should look at with simaler specs that won't brake the bank? I'm just looking to hit some steel out to 600 yards.

Thanks-

I have one. It is not bad, however, it depends on your purpose. For hunting and using 55 factory ammo it is great. If you are wanting to target shoot, save some $$ and get a 3-12 or 4-16. 9x is a little tough out to 600y for target shooting. I like it a lot. I also own mk4s and IORs. Also weaver 3-10x MIL/MIL would be a good choose as well (midwayusa scope)

Going with either the Leupold Mark AR or the Nikon M-223 3-12x42SF would be a good solid, economical choice. Right now, for a limited time, Nikon is even throwing in their one-piece M-223 mount for FREE when you purchase an M-223 scope (normally about $90)
