Rifle Scopes Leupold MK 4 8.5 X 25

I aquired a Remington 700 Police Rifle that was built out in CA, and has a MK 4 8.5X25 scope. I think I would like to put a S&B 10X fixed on it.. So my question is,, what do you think the Leupold is worth? It has all the paper work and original box, and has never been shot.. Or should I keep it? I'm pretty new at longrange shooting.

Do all scopes loose that much value, or just Leupolds?

That's what mine cost new, though it is a few years old.

I see them on Ebay for 1800?? Not sure if they are the same thing.

I wouldn't part with the Leupold so quick. The additional magnification is a great aid at precise shooting.

I was thinking a Schmidt and Bender for the 700 and I could put the MK4 on my M1A. I also have a 4X Zeiss that I could mount on something? Like I said , I am new to this=)

is the luppy illuminated. the $1000-1200 range is a good start. I would keep it unless you are hurting for a little extra flow. Good scope but the S&B will be better

What is the Leupold # on the box?.
Is it, newest model?.Eye relief is a biatch on the 25's.........
How far you shooting?.

The numbers on the box are Mark 4 8.5-25X50 LR/T

How about a model number. There should be a Leupold Model # on the end of the scope box such as 61990 or 54690.

Call Liberty Optics I think they have Leo sale going on with prices to low to list. If this scope is AS New maybe just ringmarks.......ask %80 of what Liberty has them at if its a model that a couple years old or newer you will be fine. BUt I would keep it.......good rig.

check what SWFA is asking. I think they are around 1500 new. I have been looking closly at these for my 308 but might just spend a few hun more for a NF.

It also depends on if it's illuminated or not...illum's go for more money.
