Rifle Scopes Leupold MK8 Reviews?

Only got a little time behind this beast, as I was too busy trying to sight in another scope. A quick couple points...
1. Built like a tank, definitively heavy
2. Glass is Very clean.
3. H58 reticle was just right for me compared to NF (very thin lines).

So far very impress & happy!

I'm curious too. I've yet to find a good review or comparison to other top end scopes. It's probably a function of the lack of availability so far this year. There are several reviews of the Mk6 available, but I really want to see a head to head comparison of the Mk8 to S&B glass based on the claims that Leupold upped their game on the Mk8 glass over the Mk4.

Glass modification Mk8 correspond to only modification Leupold Mk4 ER/T.

I was able to get mine mounted up when I was CONUS in Nov but it rained HEAVILY on the only day I was able to shoot, so I stuck to pistols and some other toys but didn't get to do any shooting with this scope. My first impressions were that I liked it a lot. It's BIG, and heavy, but you don't buy a 56mm scope with a 35mm main tube if you care about how big it is. The glass looked really nice, but I'm not as much of a glass-whore as most people. After being accustomed to the H-59, I found the H-58 to be a little thick, but I'm hoping to do a reticle swap next year when Leupy picks up the H59 reticle.

I really like the locking turrets, which were very intuitive: you just pinch them to turn them then they lock once you release pressure.

I don't know that I'd pay the 4k retail price on this scope, but there are some great deals available from time to time, Scott at Liberty Optics had a great price on them a while ago, and in the 3k price range they're a hell of a scope.
