Leupold SX-2 Kenai HD 25-60x80 Experience?

Anyone have any hands on experience or own one of these?

I'm in the market for a decent spotter and found one of these on Craigslist. It fits my budget but I'd like to know if it's a good price for the product granted it's in the same shape the pictures portray and functions properly.

It's listed for $650. Thoughts? Haven't found anything that I know to be comparable for the money but that doesn't mean a whole lot coming from me and my lack of knowledge on spotting glass.

I looked through one once on a sheep survey. I found it terrible. The guy I was with that owned the Kenai was way more impressed with the Pentax 65mm and fixed wide angle 30x eyepiece I had at the time.

I’d save and buy something better. For the money the Pentax was a good little unit if you could live with fixed power. I also had a Leica 62mm that was also very good that I paid $900 for. Eventually ponied up for a Swaro, but I’d look at the Pentax, Celestron Regal, or used Razor over the Kenai in terms of more budget friendly options. Noticlebly not as nice as the high end stuff, but reasonable performance for budgets.

Thanks for the input and advice brother. I'm not in a terrible hurry so I don't mind waiting to find the right deal.

I'll have a look at the ones you mentioned and see what's what.
