Definitely a newbie here! I am trying to make sense of the ballistic reticle system on my scope. It is mounted on a Rock River .223 and I am shooting 55gr. hornady so I am on the "small" arrow. I am zeroed at 200yd.s on the main crosshairs. I completely understand the drop points on the reticle of 300, 400, 500, etc. I'm confused on the power setting? Does it always need to stay on the "small" arrow and if so, what about adjusting the power for objects further down range? If do adjust power and get off the arrow, then what? Am I stupid or what? Thanks for any advice and as stated, please excuse my ignorance!
