I just ordered a new Tikka 22-250 with a 1:8 twist for varmint hunting. I have a budget of about $600 for a scope and have narrowed it down to these two. I will be using this rifle for daytime and night time hunting under a red light so low light capabilities are a top priority.
1. Leupold vx3i 4.5-14x50 30mm tube side focus CDS with wind plex reticle
2. Burris Veracity 3-15 or 4-20x50 30 mm tube with MAD turret system
Suggestions for other options will be appreciated.

I have a couple VX3i's on my hunting scopes. I think for the money, they are hard to beat. Actually I think leupolds hunting line scopes are top tier.

agreed. I have a VX-3i 6.5-20 and i think its pretty amazing. Great clarity, and does the best in low light conditions. Plus i like the fact you can get the CDS dials made once you get your load all dialed in.
