I was looking at the space I have to mount an Accuracy 1st level on my new set up, and it's not looking very promising. First, does anyone know if I can even get an Accuracy 1st on the scope while it's mounted in a Spuhr ISM? If not, what are my options? I cannot see the level on the Spuhr it's self very well, and it's not exactly a precision instrument visibility aside. I am not interested in the digital device. I've had the Accuracy 1st in the past, and they're far and away my favorite.

Thanks guys.

It depends on the model Schmidt and model spuhr. Generally speaking the 5-20 ultrashorts will not allow any space for the accuracy 1st or any level that mounts directly to the scope. Having owned the Schmidt ultrashort twice now I can confirm this to be a fact. Having owned two 5-25 pmii DTs with illumination, both have had plenty of space even with a spuhr. I used the spuhr 4001 and 4002. If you have any questions milehigh will likely have the answer for the combo scope and spuhr. Can u share what model scope and mount u have?

What width is the ring on an Accuracy 1st level?

Spuhr 4602 in front of me only leaves about .509" left to mount a level on a SB 5x25 tube with Illumination. Solider Systems lists the width on the Accuracy 1st item at .625", which if that is correct, is not going to fit.

PM II 5-25 illum. in a 4006. Redneckbmxer, it’s not that I absolutely can’t see the Spuhr level, it’s just not comfortable.

I’ll check out the MK Machine. I was really hoping Accuracy 1st would work. Just what I’m most familiar with.

I’m pickin up what you’re putting down about seeing the level on the Spuhr.I’ve got the same trouble,it doesn’t feel natural, but i’m getting used to it.

Yeah, I have to come out of the eye box and look down with my dominant eye or do some really wonky staring with my non dominant. That's why I loved my old Accuracy 1st. Just focus a bit with your non dominant eye and it's right there.

^^^This, I shoot with both eyes open so the AF level was like a breath of fresh air, I'm shooting with a SP-4011 and a GenII Razor, so not being able to help you with measurement actuals aside, that setup is one of the lower unimount rigs and seeing the Spuhr level wasn't happening. Perhaps in your case there's enough play with moving the scope forward (or backward) in the rings to fit the level then place the mount to deal with proper eye relief? That all depends on the S&B's turret housing and how much real estate it's eating up, however. The Spuhr sight doesn't list allowance between the rings, but the Razor's turret is 1.9" long in the direction of the tube. I think the 4006 & 4011 are only different in height so if your PMII's turret is around 1.9" as well you should be good...?
