Life In Sacramento Ca ???

My wife and I are gun owners and have lived in the North Phoenix area for over 20 years. She has recently been offered a 2 year assignment to work in Sacramento (all expenses paid) by her employer. This will likely be her last employment before retirement. I will remain here to work and maintain our household. We are seeking input from anyone who has experiences to share regarding ALL aspects of living and working in this area. What are the nicer neighborhoods, which are to avoid at all cost, etc... ??? Joe, I'm not sure of how many members here are living in Sac, but if you were to ask this question over on Calguns.net I'm sure you'll get more replies. I do know that Sac is virtual shall issue now thanks to CGF and SAF. Wish you two the best of luck.

Sacramento, is a nice place. Certain areas have high crime rate but overal low crime and great place.

Sacramento/Folsom Shooting center is 35 miles away and great place to shoot 1000 yards.

Delta is right there for great fishing.

90 miles to Tahoe for skiing, fishing gambling

Now it is hot there but your from even a hotter place so no big deal to you.


I like the area a lot.

like- Citrus Heights, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay areas-

Stay out of South Sac, Del Paso, parts of Rio Linda...
