Rifle Scopes Lightweight Anti-Cant

I love the anti-cant level on my Spuhr mounts. Of course it is only useful for checking the relative height of my bipod legs when at the bench. It is more or less invisible when I am on the gun.

Not necessarily. Some people, myself included, mount them farther away on the scope, and some folks prefer them closer to their eye while behind the scope. You'll just have to play around with the position of it on your scope and see what works the best for you. The placement also depends on how much real estate you have left on the main tube of your scope, after its mounted in rings or one piece mount.

Does the Tubbs anti-cant snag on stuff since it hangs off the side of your rifle? I will be carrying the gun miles and miles though the woods on a backpack etc.

Mine sticks out no farther than my parallax/illumination knob.

Quick phone pic but here's the new design. Very low profile, but also very robust. Pin holds level vial in and is also a quick visual indicator, entire top is open for maximum light gathering. Hinged design for easy setup, will fit under almost all scope mounting setups without needing to remove optic.

Right at 1oz for 30mm.

Maybe look at Hawkins rings or Nightforce you can get a level in the top cap with those.

I really wish that Hawkins made the one piece mounts for the Cooper 92. Going the Nightforce ring route adds a few extra ounces to the rifle - yeah, I know they are only ounces.

Okay I see. Well just a thought as they would be less intrusive but if you have to mount a base then yea that'll add weight.
