I’m looking for consistent .75 MOA or better. Do those rifles meet that requirement?I’ve bought a MARS-L and a MARS-H in the last 9 months. No complaints.
Appear to be every bit as good as the MWS I have owned for the past 10 years.
I have not gotten that level of accuracy from mine.I’m looking for consistent .75 MOA or better. Do those rifles meet that requirement?
You mean there are over priced AR's made by companies whose primary customer is the US military that sell to the commercial sector that aren't accurate. I've read that the SP-10M is / was used by Delta, I'd think they would demand reliability, wouldn't you? The SP-10M is a sub MOA rifle with a competent shooter yet apparently LMT, KAC can't seem to figure out how to build an accurate and reliable rifle and they have no incentive to do so as their customer is the US military not the consumer. The idea that you've got to choose between reliability or accuracy is an anachronism it's not 1950 anymore. It's ludicrous to pay $3k for an AR that can't shoot sub MOA yet KAC and LMT have no problems selling their rifles, I'm not sure why people are willing to pay extra for less performance. If your going to say because "it's reliable" then show me the data that shows the SP-10M is less reliable than KAC or LMT.Yeah I have precision ARs and I have utility ARs. My LMTs are in the Utility category. I figure they are good for 1.5-2.0 moa which is good enough.
I should add my LMTs are 14.5” barrels all wear Eotech or Aimpoint dots. Lmt can and does make accurate rifles. They also make hard use stuff that is purpose built and will hit targets as needed. Mine are not DMR rifles, but they make them.Bla bla bla, they are plenty accurate for their intended use. I am sure I could make mine more accurate ( or rather me more accurate with them) by swapping out my dots for a small scope and using better ammo. I have them and they work great for me. They are minute of pig or man out to 250ish. At that point I switch to more serious toys. We buy them because we know they work and for our purpose they are accurate.
I'm thinking the SP-10M is the answer I'm looking for. It's like a duty grade GAP-10 and very accurate from what I've read. Anyone want to sell me one in .308?Have seen some very accurate LMT MWS on here. You can also alternate them between a 16” CL and an 18-20” SS 5R or custom barrel in a few minutes
If accuracy in the main goal a GAP or JP LRI 20 would enter the chat.
I guess it depends on what accuracy you’re expecting or chasing. Some YouTubers like garandthumb or mountains, mullets, merica have some pretty impressive hit ratios with LMT and KAC side by side
Is the M model a Bartlein barrel? This isn’t bashing Seekins at all.
My stainless LMT 308 shoots better groups than my 6.5 SP10 factory barrel. Seekins aren’t magic, they use button rifled rock blanks. My chrome LMT’s shot right with the factory Seekins barrel before I replaced it. The Criterion barrel I used to rebarrel my SP10 outshoots the original.
Lmt has a better BCG, hands down.
The Seekins biggest appeals are the semi-monolithic upper and the ability to use off the shelf DPMS pattern barrels.
Everybody bitches about every mfg. Read the complaints on the Seekins owners FB page. You’ll see complaints about inaccurate guns, especially the bolt guns.
I thought I remember Frank stating that they’re the same rock creek barrels I but could be wrong. Is the M model a Bartlein barrel?

SP10M vs SP10
I have a SP10. I not sure what can be done to make it better. I am very satisfied with it. What is the cost of SP10M. All I see different is the adjustable gas block. Can some one point to differencewww.snipershide.com

Not shabby for a two pound bolt slamming back and forth.
Frank did a video at SHOT with the Seekings guy. The SP-10 and the SP-10 M are different rifles as far as how they are put together. The SP-10 is a parts and pieces gun, the -M is more of a custom. This isn’t bashing Seekins at all.

Watching mountains, mullets, merica stretch out his large frame rifles made me realize I was expecting way too much from my gas guns.Have seen some very accurate LMT MWS on here. You can also alternate them between a 16” CL and an 18-20” SS 5R or custom barrel in a few minutes

Right!Watching mountains, mullets, merica stretch out his large frame rifles made me realize I was expecting way too much from my gas guns.
When I quit focusing on shooting small groups, and focused more on just shooting the gun, I got better at shooting the ar10 platform. My mws has been the most consistent out of four large frames that I've had.
Same parts and pieces, just more attention to fitment during assembly.Frank did a video at SHOT with the Seekings guy. The SP-10 and the SP-10 M are different rifles as far as how they are put together. The SP-10 is a parts and pieces gun, the -M is more of a custom.
Exactly!Right!
You watch him shoot some groups and your thinking the price seems high for the accuracy. Then you watch the long range shooting and you’d think the gun was a 1/2 MOA rifle on the 100 yard target
My next AR will be a LMT MARS L. Be a mini me to my MWS. I know it’s not for everyone but I really like the quick change barrel feature and monolithic upperExactly!
He'll shoot a 1.5 moa group and be like, "that's acceptable to me out of this platform". Sits down off a tripod and proceeds to get a first round hit over a thousand yards. In the dark! Lol.
Yeah, my gun probably isn't my problem.
We think too much alike. Been debating the same thing lol. That and selling my mws lower for a Mars-h.My next AR will be a LMT MARS L. Be a mini me to my MWS. I know it’s not for everyone but I really like the quick change barrel feature and monolithic upper
I like knowing I can run some cheap ammo through my 16” CL barrel or buy a 20”+ 6.5 barrel for it if I want to use it for long range in the future.
If I decide to hand load I can swap to whatever barrel I’m testing then simply throw my barrel I’m currently using back on. That’s how I use my AI’s
I have the MARS H on my MWSWe think too much alike. Been debating the same thing lol. That and selling my mws lower for a Mars-h.
I don't and I continuously look for the right side bolt stop setup.I have the MARS H on my MWS
Same. I've debated selling my lower for a mars h.I don't and I continuously look for the right side bolt stop setup.
I have two lowers and four uppers, all of them have run perfectly fine. Can anyone give me some context on the QC issue with LMT? Are current production rifles good?
Mine do not, something between one and two MOA with factory ammo.I’m looking for consistent .75 MOA or better. Do those rifles meet that requirement?
Not sure what you are running but mine was extremely sensitive to the type of muzzle device I had. No joke cut it from 1-2moa to what you see above with the same ammo.Mine do not, something between one and two MOA with factory ammo.
